Animal Permit and Registration

All pets must be registered. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required, per state law, for pets to be registered with the City of Wylie.

The City of Wylie requires pet owners to register their pet every twelve (12) months. The registration fee for all animals (spayed/neutered/intact) is ten dollars ($10).

Your pet must wear its current city registration tag on its collar at all times. The fee for a lost license tag is $2. These tags are vital if your pet is lost or injured when running at large. Ninety percent (90%) of all stray animals with tags make it back home.

There is a separate registration fee for a dangerous dog. The annual registration fee for a dangerous dog is $50; and a $25 fee to register a dangerous dog at a new address.

You can register your pet in person, at the Wylie Animal Shelter, 949-A Hensley.

Please include copy of rabies vaccination and fee when registering your pet.
