CALL TO ORDER – 6:00 P.M.

Mayor John Mondy, Wylie City Council; Chairman Michael George, Planning & Zoning Commission & Chairman Gerald Clark, Zoning Board of Adjustments.

Council Present: Mayor John Mondy, Councilman Joel Scott, Councilwoman Reta Allen, Councilman Eric Hogue, Councilman Merrill Young, Councilman J.C. Worley and Councilman Chris Trout.

Planning & Zoning Commission Present: Gary Wiseman, Steve Ahrens, Mike George, Carter Porter, Bill Chapman.

Zoning Board of Adjustment Present: Jeff McCoy, Derek Green, Gerald Clark, Weldon Bullock and Mike Phillips.

Staff Present: Anthony Johnson, City Manager; Mindy Manson, Assistant City Manager; Brady Snellgrove, Finance Director, Chris Holsted, City Engineer; Mike Sferra, Director Development Services; Claude Thompson, Planner; Richard Abernathy, City Attorney and Barbara Salinas, City Secretary.

WORKSESSION – Part I – 6:00 P.M.

Presentation by Mr. Richard Abernathy, Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Joplin, regarding the Open Meetings Act; Public Information Act and Conflict of Interest.

Mr. Richard Abernathy, City Attorney was present to provide information regarding the Open Meetings Act, Public Information Act and Conflict of Interest to all board members present. Mr. Abernathy provided handouts and copies of the Open Meetings Act for the city’s reference.

CITY COUNCIL ADJOURN INTO REGULAR SESSION

PUBLIC HEARINGS – 7:00 P.M.

  1. Hold the second of two Public Hearings for the Annexation of 10.9 acres of land and being part of the Francisco De La Pena Survey, Abstract 688, and being a re-survey of all of a 22.039 acre tract as conveyed to Gary P. Williford and wife, described by deed dated September 14, 1961, recorded in Volume 587, Page 253 of the Deed Records of Collin County; save and except a 11.055 acre tract of land conveyed to David Walden by deed recorded in Volume 1845, Page 813 of the Deed Records of Collin County; located on the west side of Kreymer Lane and including 1053 S. Kreymer Lane.
  2. Hold the second of two Public Hearings for the Annexation of 5.7 acres of land and being part of the Francisco De La Pena Survey, Abstract 688; located on the west side of Kreymer Lane and including 1033 S. Kreymer Lane.

3. Hold the second of two Public Hearings for the Annexation of 54.5 acres of land and being part of the Francisco De La Pena Survey, Abstract 688; generally located on the east side of S. Kreymer Lane and including 1036 S. Kreymer Lane.

WORK SESSION – Part II

RECONVENE CITY COUNCIL, PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION AND ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS.

Presentation by Mr. Dan Sefco, Dunkin, Sefco & Associates, Urban Planning Consultants and Ms. Janet Thorp, Janet Thorp Planning & Development Services regarding the Planning and Zoning and Subdivision Process.

QUESTION/ANSWER & DIALOGUE SESSION

Members of the Wylie City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustments and all parties involved in the Work Session Presentations will have opportunity to participate in a Question/Answer and Dialogue Session regarding the topics presented.
