Council Present: Mayor John Mondy, Councilman Joel Scott, Councilwoman Reta Allen, Councilman Eric Hogue, Councilman J.C. Worley, and Councilman Chris Trout. Councilman Merrill Young was absent.

Staff Present: Anthony Johnson, City Manager; Mindy Manson, Assistant City Manager; Brady Snellgrove, Finance Director and Barbara Salinas, City Secretary.

Councilman Scott made a motion to accept the proposed Ad Valorem Tax Rate and Calculation of an Effective Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 of $0.72 per $100 and to set the Public Hearing for August 28, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wylie Municipal Complex, 2000 State Highway 78 North, Wylie, Texas, in order to receive pubic comment regarding the proposed tax rate. Councilman Worley seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion was approved, 6-0. Councilman Young absent.

There was no participation.
