BOARD MEETING

The Library Board of the City of Wylie met in regular session on September 9, 2002,
at the Library. The attendees were:

ACTION ITEMS

1. Approval of the Minutes.

Minutes were approved as read from the August 12, 2002, meeting.

2. Discuss and Act Upon Approval of the Revised Circulation Policy.

The Library recommended adding a limit to the number of interlibrary loans someone can request in one week. Request was unlimited and now there is a limit of five per week.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

3. Discuss Monthly Report and Library Card Month Activities.

Circulation figures were comparable to September 2001. There was less than a one percent increase. Other statistics reflect high library usage.
Programs are planned for Library Card Month. The Friends of the Library are offering a trial run Coffee Bar this month. Plans are to make the Library's bluebonnet Room a reading room when groups are not using it for meetings.

4. Discuss Library Budget.

The Library's operating budget had minimal increases this year. The major purchase items are in the 4B budget. They are an air conditioning unit for the computer room and additional shelving for the adult collection, and a significant increase in books.
