NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING ORDINANCE
CITY OF WYLIE

The Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council of the City of Wylie will hold public hearings to consider proposed revisions to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, including the Residential Exterior Façade Material of Section 3.4.F.1, the Repetition of Single Family Residential Unit Designs of Section 3.4.F.6 and 7, the Village Residential Front Entry Cover of Section 3.4.F.9, Village Residential Garage Door Offset of Section 3.4.F.8, and the Minimum Lot and Dwelling Unit Size of the Townhouse (TH/15) District (Section 3.3.B.). These hearings will be held as follows:

Planning & Zoning Commission: Tuesday, February 5, 2002, 7:00 PM
City Council: Tuesday, February 12, 2002, 6:00 PM

Each hearing will be held in the following location:

Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex
2000 Highway 78 North, Wylie, Texas

Action by the Planning and Zoning Commission serves as a recommendation to the City Council and is not a final action on the request. If the Commission recommends denial, a three-fourths majority vote by the City Council shall be required for approval. Zoning districts, amendments and conditions recommended by the Commission for approval by the City Council may be more restrictive than those described in this notice.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearings and express their opinions concerning the proposed revisions. Anyone unable to attend but wishing to make their opinions a part of the public record, may submit written comments, complete with name and address as well as the address or tax identification of the property owned, through February 8, 2002, to the following address. Telephone comments will not received.

Copies of the proposed revisions to the Ordinance and Map are available for public review in the Planning Department at the Municipal Building at 2000 Highway 78 North, Wylie, Texas.
