From Mayor John Mondy...

I would like to say what an honor it is to serve Wylie during this exciting and challenging time of growth.

As a Council, we are dedicated to providing quality services to all citizens. Enhancements to city infrastructure continue to take place on a daily basis; and vision remains directed to the major projects that will shape the future of Wylie.

As a parent in this community, I’m proud to say that Wylie is one of the safest cities in Collin County and the entire State of Texas. We are blessed to have such a hard-working, dedicated group of firefighters and police officers.

With an emphasis on a high quality of life, Council supports the continued development of our Parks and Recreation system as well as the resource and enrichment center that is the Smith Public Library.

One of the strongest attributes of Wylie is its sense of community and that no one is truly a “stranger.”

So if you are a Wylie resident, I encourage you to take an active role in the community. It could be through a civic organization, youth program or one of the city’s boards/commissions.

If you are not a Wylie resident, I invite you to visit Wylie and become a part of our community.
