Festival of Lights and Treelighting
Each holiday season, the City of Wylie along with the Wylie Chamber
of Commerce sponsors a Holiday Parade & Treelighting Ceremony
entitled "Festival of Lights." Traditionally, this event
is held on the first Saturday evening in December.
The Parade begins at approximately 6pm with the route beginning
at Oak and Jackson, running along Ballard, and ending at Jefferson
and Jackson. The Treelighting takes place immediately following
teh Parade at the Birmingham House, 301 N Ballard.

In 2005, more than 6,000 people lined Historic Downtown Wylie to
view this nighttime parade.
