Reading provides a wealth of adventure and
learning. This year’s Summer Reading program again offers
something for everyone: preschoolers to teens to adults.
Reading logs can be picked up Wednesday, June 4. Join
us for a kick-off celebration on Friday June 6 from 9:00AM
- Noon to celebrate 50 years of the Texas Summer Reading Club.
Come enjoy a D.J., air brush tattoos, a bounce house, crafts
and a Texas Sized Petting Zoo! Special appearances by the
Wylie Fire Department, the Wylie Police Department and Abby
the Collie, star of our Wagging Tales program. All events
are free and fun for the whole family. Be sure to arrive early
to ensure participation in all events. Some lines may be limited
prior to Noon to ensure that our performers leave on time.
The library parking lot will not be available, so please plan
on parking at Burnett Junior High or in the Community Park
parking lot. Summer Reading Club materials will be available
during the celebration. We hope to see you there!
We encourage you to sign up for a reading club as well as
visit the Library for our entertaining programs.
It’s simple to do and makes for a fun, fulfilling summer. |
