Meals on Wheels Library
The Rita and Truett Smith Public Library has joined with the Meals
on Wheels volunteers to deliver library materials to Meals on Wheels
participants. Library materials include books, magazines, books
on tape, audio cassettes and videos.
A library staff member will assist individuals in choosing materials.
Individuals can call the Library at 972.442.7566, e-mail at libinfo@wylietexas.gov,
or visit the online library
catalog. Materials will be delivered and picked up
by the Meals on Wheels volunteer. Checkout periods are two weeks
for books and audiovisual materials and four days for videos. Individuals
are allowed to renew all materials one time.
To be eligible, individuals must be a Meals on Wheels participant
and hold a library card. Individuals without a library card can
contact the Library during regular hours and a staff member will
assist with the application; and the library card will be delivered.
This is a free service provided by the Smith Public Library and
Meals on Wheels volunteers.
