K-9 Unit
The Wylie K-9 Unit is responsible for preventive patrol, building
and vehicle searches, assistance in narcotic investigations, searches
for missing persons and apprehension of criminal suspects.
Wylie K-9, Carlo, along with K-9 Officer Brenda Martin, won first
place as overall dog at Region 20 Trials in 2005 and second place
as overall dog in 2006. In both years, Carlo competed at the National
Trials with Officer.
In April 2007, Wylie’s second K-9 will begin training with
Officer Matt Miller and is expected to begin patrol in the summer.
