Resource Officers (SROs)
Wylie School Resource Officers (SROs) provide a link between the
Wylie Police Department and the Wylie Independent School District
(WISD). SROs are stationed inside WISD schools and are involved
in classroom instruction, provide school security and serve as mentors
to our students.
Currently, WPD provides SROs to the following WISD campuses:
- Wylie High School
- Burnett Junior High School
- Cooper Junior High School
- McMillan Junior High School
Each year, WPD also provides special preventive instruction to
WISD students such as educating them on the dangers of driving while
intoxicated.
