The Wylie SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Unit handles critical
incidents such as hostage situations, barricaded suspects, felony
and drug warrants. The members of the Wylie SWAT Team are certified
officers who may also serve as a patrol officer, SRO or detective.
As a SWAT Team member, these officers receive special training
to handle the often volatile situations they must face.
