through Skyhawks camps in 25 U.S. States.
Skyhawks BRANDS
Teaching life skills through athletics during all stages of a child’s
development
Mini-Hawk programs (ages 4 to 6 years old) allow
young children to explore soccer, baseball, and basketball in a
day-program setting. There is no pressure -- just lots of fun while
these young athletes participate in all three sports through unique
Skyhawks games. Our Mini-Hawk coaching staff is trained to meet
the specific needs of young children and is committed to helping
them start off on the right foot as they venture into athletics.
All participants receive a mini Skyhawks ball, t-shirt and merit
award. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1.
Skyhawks programs (6 to 12 years old) are the
centerpiece in delivering quality sports programs that not only
equip the athlete with physical skills, but also teach life skills
through athletics! Skyhawks programs develop skills, refine talents,
and prepare young athletes for future endeavors and competition.
Skyhawks staff members are always experienced in the sport they
support and have been trained to share that knowledge with a young
audience. Skyhawks level programs teach the fundamentals in an appropriately
competitive environment where winning and losing are not everything,
but are a simple part of the game -- on the field and in life. These
programs are designed for beginner to intermediate level players.
Not recommended for advanced athletes.
The 2008 summer sports camps include soccer, baseball, basketball,
volleyball, flag football and cheerleading. The weekly camps will
be offered for ages ranging from 3 to 14 and will run throughout
June and July. All camps will take place at McMillan Junior High,
1050 Park Blvd. Outdoor camps will be behind the building, while
indoor camps will be in the gymnasium.
