Trash
Trash Cart
For new residents, the trash cart normally takes within five (5)
business days to be delivered. Until you have received a trash cart,
place your trash bags outside in the place designated for trash
pick-up. To ensure trash is picked up, give Trinity a call and inform
them that you are new and will be placing your bags out until you
receive a cart. If you have any problems, contact Utility Billing
on the same day to assist in resolving the matter.
Cart Placement
On scheduled collection day, roll cart to within two feet of the
edge on street by 7 am. Placement the night before is okay. Make
sure the handles are facing your house, so that when the cart is
lifted, the lid opens to the street. Please check to see that it
is not blocked by parted vehicles. Postmaster requires that carts
be placed far enough away from the mailbox to ensure mail carrier
has no interference. Do not forget to pull cart back to house after
emptied.
Cart Contents
The cart is designed to hold a maximum weight of 175 pounds. All
household trash and yard waste can be disposed of in a cart.. Trash
placed on top or beside the cart cannot be collected. All trash
must be placed with the lid closed. The cart will not be picked
up is lid is open or half open. Do not put concrete, large amounts
of dirt, heavy waste or hot ashes in the cart.
Additional Carts
You will be surprised at the amount of trash that a cart will hold;
so we encourage you to try using one cart for several weeks. If
you feel an additional cart is necessary, contact Utility Billing.
There is a monthly fee of $3.25 for an additional cart.
