Permit Fees Waived
In order to assist Wylie in its rebuilding process, the City has waived permit fees. It's still important for contractors to obtain a permit; the permit/inspection process is in place to protect the homeowner from bad contractors and ensure that repairs are done right. For example, there have been instances where venting was dislodged on furnaces and hot water heaters during roof repairs that caused dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the house.

Following is a list of contractors who have registered with the City to obtain permits. The City does not endorse any contractor, nor have we performed any vetting or background checks. It is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner to do due diligence and ensure the contractor chosen is reputable. Be advised that a City of Wylie permit is not required if the extent of the work is shingle replacement; anything involving the wood underneath or decking requires a permit. For questions, call Building Inspection at 972-516-6420.
