Animal Control Hours

Monday - Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

* Closed daily from 12:00-1:30 pm

Animal Control is responsible for the enforcement of the City's animal control ordinances and the Texas Health and Safety Code, which pertains to the control, care and regulation of animals. Primary functions are to safeguard the public's health and safety and to ensure responsible supervision and humane treatment for all animals within its jurisdiction.

We DO EUTHANIZE animals at our facility. We DO NOT offer this as a service. You will need to re-home your un-adoptable, injured or diseased pet yourself or take it to a veterinarian to be euthanized.
We respond to stray animals in the City of Wylie only. Animals which are obviously diseased will not be accepted at the shelter or placed for adoption. Not all animals are suitable for adoption. We house wild and dangerous animals that will not go up for adoption. Animals that show any sign of aggression are not suitable for adoption. We do our best to adopt as many of our animals as possible.
