OPTIONS
When you receive a citation you will have twenty (20) days from the date of the citation to make an appearance. An appearance must be made in person or by mail - a telephone call does not constitute an appearance. If you fail to make an appearance on or before your due date additional charges may be filed against you and warrants issued with additional costs attached thereto. There are several options available to you on or before your appearance date.
You may:
- Appear in person, enter a plea of guilty or no contest and pay your fine in full which may result in a conviction
- Pay by mail with a check or money order
- Request Driving Safety Course for dismissal of the ticket, if eligible
- Request Deferred Disposition for dismissal of the ticket, if eligible
