Welcome to the official web site of Wylie Fire-Rescue!  Our site contains valuable information about our department, our community, and our members.  We are continuing in our efforts to provide Wylie and the surrounding area with services when bad things happen, a tradition that began when our forefathers started helping each other in 1909.

We are working to serve you in any way we can.  From being sure a structure is built properly and in a fire-safe manner through responding quickly when something goes wrong, we are here when you need us.  Our constant goal is to have the right people in the right place at the right time with the right training and the right equipment.  That challenge is ever-expanding as the Metroplex grows through our community.

We are working to keep pace with our growth.  Our Strategic Plan (updated in 2010) has shown where our stations need to be built, and in some cases, relocated to better serve Wylie.  Our planning is like our service: it never ceases!  Keeping ahead of critical demands is an integral part of our mission.

The City of Wylie is a wonderful community in which to live.  Our department, which has an ISO fire rating of Class 1, maintains a strong partnership with the community we serve as described in our Mission Statement.  To accomplish our mission, we need your support and understanding of our operations.  I hope that our web site contributes to building an even better and stronger partnership between us.  Please feel free to contact us at any time.
