Wylie Fire-Rescue offers several individual services to the citizens, in addition to emergency medical care and fire protection.
- Adult Protective Services
If you are concerned about the care an aging or challenged adult is receiving, don't wait! Call our non-emergency number at 972-442-8171 to report it. First responders and/or police officers will check on the individual to see if the individual is in need of immediate care. You can also call the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400 for a more detailed report about your concerns.
Wylie Fire-Rescue is a proud participant of the Baby Moses Project. The Baby Moses Law allows a parent of baby younger than 60 days old to turn over the baby to a designated emergency care agency. The law protects parents from criminal prosecution when they deliver an unharmed child to a designated emergency infant care provider. All participants of the Baby Moses Project post this sign.
Home Inspections are voluntary and offered as a FREE service to the citizens of Wylie and those in WFR's fire jurisdiction. If you would like to schedule your free inspection, please contact fire prevention by email or call the office at 972-442-8110.
Your smoke detector has the power to save your life. Or does it? If you haven't tested your smoke detector lately, it may not be working. That's a risk you can't afford to take.
Working smoke detectors give us early warning of a fire, providing extra time to escape safely. But they can't do their job if we haven't done ours. Check your smoke detectors semi-annually to make sure they're working correctly, and check them for the life of the device to protect the lives of your loved ones.
Wylie Fire-Rescue wants you and your family to be safe from the tragic effects of fire. We offer free smoke detectors to citizens who do not have a working detector installed. We can also check your smoke detector, or replace the battery.
