Thursday March 11 from Noon - 8:00pm

The Friends of the Library invite you to their Open House!

Rose-Mary Rumbley, humorist, teacher and book reviewer, will perform one of her exciting reviews at 4:00pm.

Mayor Eric Hogue will discuss the new Municipal Complex at 6:30pm; followed by a meet and greet with Mayor Hogue and City Manager, Mindy Manson until 8:00pm.

We will be accepting donations for individual tiles with YOUR children's names or drawings and your pets' paw also. They will be dated and put on display at the new library.

Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.

The Friends of the Library meet monthly in the Bluebonnet Room to discuss various issues related to supporting the library.

In celebration of the new 43,934 square foot library, membership and renewal fees are currently half price!

Friends of the Library The Friends of the Smith Public Library is composed of people who believe in the importance of books, reading, learning, and libraries for people of all ages. They share a common interest in libraries in general and specifically the Smith Public Library. Members agree that the community is a better place to live if it supports the library.

As a Friend of the Smith Public Library you will promote the improvement  the facilities and services of the Library. You will enhance cooperation among local citizens, library board members, and government officials. When you become a friend, you will enjoy the association with others who share an interest in books, libraries, and the community.
