5/24/12 Mr. Popper's Penguins
How it works:
4th & 5th graders are encouraged to read the book and watch the movie on their own time, then come to our meeting for discussion. We talk about the differences between the book and movie, favorite plot points and characters and much more! We read passages from the book and watch scenes from the movie. Snacks are provided.
How do I get my free book?
Thanks to the Friends of the Library, the first 25 kids to sign up get a free copy of the book! Just come to the children’s reference desk and ask to sign-up. At the end of each meeting, the kids that are present automatically get a copy of the book for the following month.
Do I have to like the book or the movie to come?
No! If you don’t like it come tell us why. If you like one or the other that’s ok too. We welcome all 4th & 5th graders whether or not they liked the book or movie.
Where do we meet?
Our May meeting is our final meeting and will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, which is located immediately to the right when you walk into the library.
Please no parents or younger siblings at the meetings.
Thanks for your cooperation.
