Bailiff / Warrant Officer
When the officer isn't performing duties for the judge, he/she keeps an eye on the proceedings to make sure everything goes smoothly. This includes protecting judges, witnesses, jury members, lawyers and others present in the courtroom. The Warrant Officer also takes care of prisoner transportation and prisoner arraignments and works closely with municipal court to serve court subpoenas.
The Warrant Officer performs duties to locate and apprehend offenders who have active warrants for their arrest. This also includes assisting in coordinating and facilitating the participation in the Statewide Warrant Roundup. Go to the Wylie Municipal Court page for more details.
