The Library Garden - Planting for the Future of Wylie!
Imagine a place where fresh herbs and vegetables grow to place on the tables of families in need in Wylie. A place where Monarch butterflies get energy and rest as they migrate thousands of miles other way home. Where the people can learn about our earth’s resources and the joy of spending time outside.
We have that place at the Wylie Municipal Complex – the Library Garden.
Unfortunately, our garden has been neglected and we need your help to get it back into shape!
The Library Garden was first started in 2016 as a way to engage our kids’ clubs and for Sensory Storytime. By volunteering just a little time in the garden, you will help:
· Bring healthy food to families in need
· Provide a waystation for the Monarch butterflies that migrate through the area
· Create learning opportunities to our youth about the earth’s resources
· Build a dedicated space that will benefit the city of Wylie
It takes people like you to build a much-needed resource for the community. No experience is required.
