The Library Garden - Planting for the Future of Wylie!
The Library Garden was first started in 2016 as a way to engage our kids’ clubs and for Sensory Storytime. By volunteering just a little time in the garden, you will help:
· Bring healthy food to families in need
· Provide a waystation for the Monarch butterflies that migrate through the area
· Create learning opportunities to our youth about the earth’s resources
· Build a dedicated space that will benefit the city of Wylie
It takes people like you to build a much-needed resource for the community. No experience is required.
Ready to volunteer? How about your family? We schedule gardening and maintenance tasks throughout the year. We need help with weeding, planting, mulching, and other tasks. If you are ready, simply fill out the application and consent to a background check. Children 17 years and younger must be in the presence of a parent or guardian, who must be 18 years or older. Only parents and guardians are required to complete the application.
