Pavilion/Gazebo Reservations - according to the Governor's updated Disaster Declaration that went into effect on Friday July 3, 2020, park pavilion/gazebo reservations will only be accepted for groups of 10 or less until further notice.
Park Facilities and Amenities - all trails, open spaces, playgrounds, pavilions, gazebos, restrooms, drinking fountains, Joel Scott Memorial Skate Park, athletic practice facilities, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, and Oncor Disc Golf Park.
Basketball and Sand Volleyball Lights at Founders Park - lights available for use until 10:00 p.m. every evening.

Rec Pass Reactivation - All Wylie Recreation Center passes were frozen starting March 13, 2020 to help offset the inconvenience of extremely limited recreation offerings during the early phases of COVID-19. Wylie Recreation Center has been open and moving toward full operations since May 18. During this time, the City has been able to allow passholders to use the facility without time being deducted from their passes.
On October 1, 2020 Rec Passes will be reactivated (as normal) and billing will resume. Guests and Rec Pass holders may participate in all available services and offerings on a first-come, first-served basis. Health and safety protocols are in place.
We are excited to announce that starting October 4, 2020 some Sunday hours will resume. Wylie Recreation Center will be open on Sundays, 1 - 5 pm.

Wylie Recreation Center is open with modified hours, services, access, and offerings. Open Gym, Open Fitness, Summer Camps, Flex Reg Fitness, and locker room access are available with limited capacity measures in place. The childcare, and climbing wall remain closed at this time.

We are excited and ready to open the doors, and welcome you back to Wylie Recreation Center! Thank you for your support and patience through this unprecedented time.
Wylie Recreation Center Fitness Floor and Gym will be open for modified hours, services, access, and offerings starting Monday, May 18. Open Fitness and Open Gym activities will resume at limited capacity, Monday - Thursday, 5 am - 9 pm, and Saturday, 8 am - 8 pm. All other Wylie Recreation Center services will be reactivated in later phases. Senior Recreation Center, and the Thomas and Mattie Brown House remain closed at this time.
All guest and Rec Pass holders may participate in physical fitness activities on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited capacity and service requirements are in place. If capacity is met staff will take phone numbers down so guests can wait in their vehicles or outside. A call will be placed to guests, and a return window of 5 minutes will be extended for entry. The locker room showers, childcare, climbing wall, aerobics studio, classroom, and meeting room remain closed at this time.
The health and safety of our staff and guests is a priority. We have enhanced our cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and implemented environmental controls including physical barriers, hand sanitizer stations, and physical distancing reminders.
All guests and Rec Pass holders shall comply with the minimum recommended health protocols issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services for exercise facilities, as well as safe physical distancing practice of at least 6 feet apart while in the facility. Recreation staff will be following the same guidelines for physical distancing. Guests and staff exhibiting signs of illness will be required to immediately leave the facility. Per Wylie Parks and Recreation facility rules, admittance is prohibited to individuals with open wounds or contagious illness.
Guests are required to wipe down equipment with disinfectant before and after use, are encouraged to wear gloves while exercising, and masks or face coverings are encouraged for everyone where distances of less than 6 feet are unavoidable. All active Rec passes were frozen as of March 13, and will remain frozen until further notice. Day passes and rec passes can be purchased at the front desk.

Recreation staff are contacting people enrolled in activities. All activity refunds will be placed on the enrollee’s account for future use, or a refund may be requested.
To expedite refund processing, refund requests should include 1) date of the request, 2) full name of the person being withdrawn, 3) name of the activity, and 4) mailing address. If original payment was received in the form of a credit card, the refund will be processed to the same valid credit card; allow three to five days for processing. All other refunds will be processed in the form of a check from the City of Wylie; allow four to five weeks for processing.
