With more than 20 years experience with the City of Wylie as city engineer and assistant city manager, the City Council appointed Chris Holsted as City Manager April 2019. He is responsible for overseeing the daily activities and services to the city. His previous experience includes serving as vice president of the Hogan Corporation, a Dallas civil engineering firm, and as HVAC design technician for Cromwell Architects & Engineers in Little Rock, Ark. Holsted holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and is a Registered Professional Engineer with the State of Texas.
Renae Ollie, Assistant City Manager
Named assistant city manager in April 2019, Renae Ollie's responsibilities include Finance, Building Inspection, Code Enforcement, Planning, GIS, and Library. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of City Planning from MIT. She holds certifications from the National Incident Management System, Texas Leadership Institute, and Land Development Financing Technics in Texas. Ollie was recognized recently by the League of Women Voters at the Celebration of Collin County Women in Public Administration.
Brent Parker, Assistant City Manager
Named assistant city manager in April 2019, Brent Parker was a member of Wylie Fire Rescue for 18 years, serving as fire chief since 2014. He oversees Parks and Rec, Public Works, Facilities, the rebuilding of the Public Safety Building, and Information Technology. Parker holds a BSBA with a minor in Human Resource Management from Columbia Southern University and an MS in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University. In addition to numerous certifications, he is the immediate past-president of the Texas Fire Chiefs Association.
