Wylie Fire Rescue invites parents and children to tour a fire station. Tours include opportunities to check out the fire trucks, walk through the station's interior, and experience a close-up look at life in the fire station, while firefighters answer questions. If possible, please pre-plan your tour, but feel free to stop by any time for an impromptu tour if firefighters are available. For a larger group or birthday party, please use the link below to schedule or call 972-429-8113 for additional questions.

How many children can attend?
Because many parents attend tours with their children and many bring siblings, WFR asks that you limit invitations to 12 children per tour.
What will be provided for the tour?
WFR staff will do their best to make your child and guests feel welcome, allowing children the opportunity to view vehicles and the station. Additionally, they will give a short overview of fire safety to guests (a lot of great information is given during this discussion and we find many parents enjoy it more than the kids!).
Will WFR staff remain with guests during the entire tour?
WFR remains on call 24/7, 365 days per year delivering excellent E.M.S. and fire services to our citizens. If our staff is dispatched to a call during your tour firefighters will be forced to leave the tour. In essence, you may not get everything you expected. As much as we may regret this action, our number one focus must be assisting individuals at a crucial moment in their lives.
Fire station tables
When you visit the station, be sure to check out the kitchen table; each one has special meaning to the firefighters who created it. Here's an article about the table project:
