Animal Services is responsible for the enforcement of the local, state, and federal laws related to animals. Primary functions are to safeguard the public's health and safety and to ensure responsible supervision and humane treatment for all animals within its jurisdiction.

We do not offer humane euthanasia as a service. Pet owners need to use a veterinarian for this service.
We respond to stray animals in the City of Wylie only.
Not all animals are suitable for adoption. Animals that are obviously diseased will not be accepted at the shelter or made available for adoption. Surrender of pets is by appointment only and must meet temperament and health requirements. Appointments for evaluation, surrender, and payment of required fees are required.
