Kids Winter Reading Challenge

Pick up a log at the Children's Desk beginning Monday 12/17/18.
Choose a path, read books, complete the challenge and collect your prize!
(One prize per day per child while supplies last.)
The last day to turn them in is Saturday 3/16/19.

Find the images hidden in the children's area and get a prize!
This is a self-directed activity. One prize per day per child while supplies last.
Spring Break Family Movie Day
Ralph Breaks the Internet (Rated PG)
In the Multi-Purpose Room. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Children ages nine (9) and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Kids Spring Break Program:
10:00am and 11:00am
Meet animals from around the world that make you squirm!
Wristbands are required and free. They will be handed out beginning at 9:00am on the day of the program.
Space is limited due to fire code.
This program is geared towards elementary school aged kids, but all ages welcome.
Children 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Tween Spring Break 2019
Wednesday 3/13/19 from 2:00-3:00pm
For 4th-6th graders only
Discover what makes bees extra special and plant a seed in a water bottle container you decorate yourself. Weather permitting, we will be planting in the library garden, so be sure to dress appropriately.
Online registration required through Eventbrite and goes live Wednesday 2/27/19 at 10:00am.
SPL Play & Learn Workshops
For Families with children aged 0-5
Children Learn by Playing!
Family Place Libraries build foundations for early learning. This five-week program for kids ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers is a fun, informal, play-based program that provides a rich environment of toys, books and art activities. Families have the opportunity to spend time together, make new friends and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week.

- 3/25/19: Speech, Hearing & Language Development
- 4/1/19: Child Development
- 4/8/19: Nutrition
- 4/15/19: Music & Movement
In the Storytime Room from 5:45-7:00pm
Each workshop builds on the last, so attendance at all five workshops is strongly encouraged.

L.A.M.B. (Look at My Book) Program
Monday 2/4/19 - Saturday 5/4/19
All children grades 6 and younger are welcome to participate.
The L.A.M.B. program was started in 2014 to encourage creativity, imagination and writing skills.
Participants write a book that is then displayed and added to the library collection for in-house check-out.

Participants may register to attend one of the Young Author's Receptions on Saturday 5/11/19.
Young authors may invite up to 4 guests to attend the reception where they will be recognized for their work and sign autographs.

Saturdays from 11:00-11:45 am
This is not a storytime and participants are typically in kindergarten through second grade.
Tickets are required, free and limited. They will be available at 10:00 am at the Children's Desk on the day of the program.
LEGO Family Build Days: 3:30-4:45pm In the Storytime Room.
Come show off your creative skills with the library's LEGO and DUPLO.
All ages welcome. Children ages nine (9) and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
