$15 Entry Fee; register in advance (cooming soons) to secure your spot, or starting at 1 p.m. race day (cash only).
This is a rain or shine event.
Ages 2-3, Check-in 1 p.m.; Race Start Time 2 p.m.
Ages 4-5, Check-in 2 p.m.; Race Start Time 3 p.m.
More than 200 children select a unique car of their choice that has been provided and decorated by local merchants and race 500 inches down Ballard Avenue in heats of seven. Winners receive trophies in two age brackets. The $15 entry fee includes a T-shirt, and proceeds benefit area Special Olympics and historic downtown Wylie beautification.
