Smith Public Library - The library is open with limited hours and services. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drive-up will be open for arrived holds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Because the library is at 25% capacity, please pick up items quickly and exit, allowing others to enter the building. Please consider sending in one person per family. Items returned will be quarantined for 72 hours, but materials checked out will not be disinfected as they have been on the shelves since the library closed. Study rooms, meeting rooms, Interlibrary Loans, puzzles, play areas, computers and Teen Room gaming equipment will not be available. Go to www.WylieTexas.gov/Library for more details.
Wylie Municipal Court is open for walk-in business. Any appearance dates and deadlines will be extended at a date to be determined but for no longer than 30 days after the Governor's State of Disaster has been lifted. You are free to exercise other available options to resolve cases: The Wylie Municipal Court offers online services, a 24 hour drop box, as well as requests for options made by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. These options by email include requesting Driving Safety, Deferred Disposition, Court Hearings, and Extensions or Payment Plans. Please follow the instructions for Driving Safety and Deferred Disposition located on this web site. For requests for Extensions and Payment Plans, once we receive your request by email we will respond with further instructions. At this time, limited court staff will be working and can answer any questions you have by phone or email. The Wylie Municipal Court is rescheduling all defendants, jurors, and witnesses set for a hearing or trial from March 20, 2020 through and including June 1, 2020. You will receive a written notice from the Court advising you of the new date and time for your hearing or jury service. Utility Billing - Utility Billing is open to the public as of May 1. We will not be processing late penalties or cut-offs at this time. Please be aware you can always make your payment with no credit card feest online, mail a payment, pay through your bank, or leave a payment in the drop box located outside City Hall.
