Teens may pick four different reading "options" from twelve different choices. Once they have completed four, they can turn their winter reading challenge in for a prize at the Teen Reference Desk. TVs: Teen Volunteers
The application deadline for volunteering this school year has passed. If we have any openings during the school year, the application will be posted in January of the new year. If not, then the applications will be posted here mid-April for summer volunteering opportunities.
Please note that teen volunteer slots are limited and not guaranteed. We typically receive at least twice as many applications as we have spots available, so answering the short essay questions on the application thoughtfully is incredibly important. You must be at least 13 years old to be considered as a Teen Volunteer. Previous volunteer experience with the library does not guarantee a spot.
General TV (teen volunteer) Info:
Teen Volunteer applications are posted here in April for summer volunteering opportunities and in August for slots during the school year. Unfortunately, because of the training time needed in order to volunteer, we do not have the ability to offer one-day or short-term volunteer opportunities. All teen volunteers attend an orientation and training session provided by a staff member.
